Mixed-weave skins – the alternative offering top climbing properties compared to your usual cross-country ski skins.
ALLROUND skins are made of a mixed weave of 65% mohair and 35% polyamide. The woven-in synthetic provides better grip on the trail and is more abrasion-resistant than pure mohair. The mixed-weave fabric is ideal for hard, icy conditions, wet snow, or steep trails. Allround skins are suitable for athletes who prefer good grip or have not yet mastered a perfect diagonal stride.
[Changing cross-country skins is easy](https://www.colltex.at/en/langlauf-fell-wechseln). Remove the currently mounted skins, stick them onto the paper supplied or dispose of them, dry the milling, stick on the new skins starting from the tip in the weave direction, press on well and wax before running.

**Cross-Country Ski Skins – the Differences**
When you buy classic cross-country skis with skins strips, the skins used by the manufacturer are installed as standard. However, you may want cross-country ski skins with a better glide and grip. Or you may want to replace your existing cross-country skins after intensive use. Colltex offers the spot-on alternative for almost all models.
